"I greatly value my relationship with Macmillan as a key supplier of design, keyboarding, composition, and data conversion services for Oxford's reference books division. Macmillan's proactive thinking and expert customer service typify the best kind of client-vendor relationship. They have routinely met even the most demanding schedule requirements." Director, Editorial Developement and Production Reference Division, Oxford University Press

"I just wanted to acknowledge your customer services representatives in India for their excellent service, communication, and all around good cheer on a couple of recent projects. The Ferrini book-it's required a great deal of extremely late author corrections and the index and front matter were a mess." Managing Editor, McGraw-Hill Higher Education

"I have really enjoyed working with you on my production. You do a super job and I want you to know I really appreciate the 'extras' you put into the process. You have saved me many hours and, as a result, we have been able to meet schedules." Managing Editor, Prentice Hall

"Having just finished 2 projects with you, I wanted to let you know how much I have enjoyed working with you. My editorial service manager did a phenomenal job of keeping both projects on schedule. The Burrow Student Activities Guide was completed on time, on a very tight schedule (just 8 weeks from receipt of copyedited manuscript until file release!). Digital Desktop Publishing was finished on time and only 16 pages over the target page count. This was an art-heavy 4/c book. I look forward to working with you again." Content Project Manager,Content and Media Production, Thomson Learning

"I've been using your services for seven years, one year was for college-level economics textbooks and six years have been with high school and college mathematics textbooks. I have yet to find a better compositor when it comes to the knowledge and skills surrounding the details of mathematical typesetting in a variety of formats.
In addition to the quality of the composition services, your customer service is outstanding. Because my company strives to publish the highest quality books possible, we place considerable demands on our vendors. Your project managers have always kept up with our requests and the thousands of pages going through their system. It has been a pleasure working with all the project managers assigned to my projects."

| The highly flexible MPS Books team produces content for print or electronic delivery, using virtually all of the common publishing production tools available. Operating primarily in InDesign, QuarkXPress, LaTeX, and 3B2, MPS Books works effectively with technical and non-technical content and with designs range from both simple to highly complex. Our team has considerable experience with four-color designs and with mathematical, scientific, and world language content. In particular, we have worked extensively with educational publishers for primary, secondary, college, and professional markets, STM publishers, academic publishers and reference publishers. MPS Books provides a range of XML and non-XML workflows for page composition in each platform, including XML-first production for InDesign, QuarkXPress, 3B2, Framemaker, and LaTeX. We can deliver XML files at any stage of production to meet the parallel publishing needs of our customers. |

| To ensure quality production, we place particular emphasis on the recruitment, training, and retention of qualified staff. Moreover, when it comes to specific customers and projects, success depends on effective project management, planning, and process-oriented production. At MPS Books, all projects undergo an extensive planning process to evaluate product requirements, expected inputs, and workflows. Job assets are inventoried, critical dependencies determined, and the schedule is reviewed in fine detail to ensure these dependencies are thoroughly planned and communicated to all stakeholders. Along with our quality staff, we believe these variables of planning, organization, and communication determine our success on each and every project. |
